Momentum Collective Academy (MCA) meets the requirements of the Privacy and Personal Information Act 1998. RTO Manager. The RTO Manager and the Student Coordinator are responsible for the privacy issues for MCA. 

All students can access their personal file held by MCA by a written request to the Student Coordinator. Students may also request in writing any updates be made to information that is incorrect or out of date. 

Access may be given to an identified government officer from agencies such as Department of Education and Training and/or the Department of Employment or Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) for the purposes of audit. 

Access to a copy of a student or team member’s records by a third party can only be obtained by written permission of the relevant person whose file has been requested. Such permission will also identify those sections of the file to be available. 

Personal information is collected solely for the purposes of our operation as a Registered Training Organisation and is stored in MCA’s SMS. 

All reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure including restricted access to electronic files, secure storage of paper files and secure backup of data. 

At enrolment students are required to access the usi.gov.au to obtain their unique student Identifier number (USI). They are required to submit their USI to the student coordinator for the purposes of maintaining MCA’s electronic records for the collection of data by Commonwealth and State Government Departments and Agencies.
