Building Resilience Program 

Study Locations: Tweed Heads, Casino, Alstonville, NSW and Gold Coast, QLD. Virtual classroom also available. 

Delivery mode: Blended (face-to-face/online)

Each unit consists of online learning material and a face-to-face workshop. The monthly workshops are held in Tweed Heads, Alstonville, Casino and Gold Coast. All tutorials and workshops are conducted by multiple experienced trainers.

Enrolment period ends Friday, 31 May 2024.

Duration: The expected duration of this course is over a 3-month period, consisting of one unit of competency per month. E-learning opens in June.

  • Tweed workshops: Tuesday, 4 June 2024, Tuesday, 2 July 2024 and Tuesday 6 August 2024.
  • Gold Coast workshops: Tuesday, 11 June 2024, Tuesday, 9 July 2024 and Tuesday, 13 August 2024.
  • Casino workshops: Tuesday, 18 June 2024, Tuesday, 16 July 2024 and Tuesday, 20 August 2024.
  • Alstonville workshops: Tuesday, 25 June 2024, Tuesday, 23 July 2024 and Tuesday, 27 August 2024.

What you’ll pay: Full-fee $1,499 per person (flexible payment plans available). The program fee is per person for all three units. Discounts apply for groups of five or more and ANZMH members.  

Course Description

This Program provides a set of skills from three units of competency which support resilience for workers within the community and health sector. Learning outcomes in the unit of competencies include:

    • Recognise stress and triggers in your own role
    • Identify strategies to effectively prevent, reduce and manage stress
    • Undertake self-evaluation with supervisors/peers
    • Create a self-development plan that sets realistic goals and targets
    • Apply self-care strategies in managing re-traumatisation and vicarious trauma
    • Identify opportunities to embed trauma informed care and practice in delivery

A Language, Literacy, Numeracy & Digital (LLND) Assessment will be required to be completed prior to acceptance into the program. It is recommended you have basic skills and access to a computer.

The program structure is made up of three units of competency. All units successfully completed will be awarded a Statement of Attainment.

We have a RPL process in place for students who want to apply for recognition of their existing skills and knowledge relevant to the units of competencies within the relevant accredited training program. Students may have achieved these skills and knowledge form previous qualification, formal training or workplace training or experience. This may reduce the number of units to be completed for the course of choice.
